We were all nervous starting out and we, as new hires, were actually not that familiar with each other either. Great explanations and analogies of material as previous weeks. Did exercises other than coding exercises to change things up. Demos were a great learning opportunity.

Do you have any classes on Pluralsight (recorded) associated to Java? I ask because most of this is truly making sense to me. Normally I struggle to understand Java but I find that your way of teaching is very helpful. Thank you!

I enjoyed learning and getting to know Docker as it was not very familiar to me before. Everything was well taught and labs were clear in instruction.

First real exposure to Docker which I didn't know much about, but thoroughly enjoyed it. Peter was a great help, he is very approachable which helps a lot.

Very productive week. Learnt much about Docker.

I was always shakey when it came to lambdas and streams and it really helped build up my understanding and skills with them. I feel a lot more confident approaching them now from an implementation point of view. Still really enjoying the mix of theory and practical, really helps cement the ideas and why they would be beneficial.

In depth coverage of Java Streams which has enhanced my understanding Again, Peter has been fantastic. Really has a good knack of helping me relate to the material

Good balance between notes and exercises allowed me to learn something and then practice it. Peter going through the notes never went on too long that I lost concentration.

Our Instructor Peter was very clear with his explanations, the way he taught us was engaging & fun to listen to, he also took into consideration our prior knowledge to the materials, & explained accordingly, which helped us understand the material better, he also answered all questions very clearly:) the exercise were also good to practice the knowledge we had:)

Clear demonstration about the concepts in Golang such as pointers, goroutines etc.

I liked how much practice we got throughout the course and how helpful Peter was at helping us through any issues we had. Even if you didn't understand certain material through the slides, you understood it once an exercise happened.

The course was intense but Peter kept us all in tune between breaks and just being easy to get along with and learn from.

Overall the program was a very positive. There was a huge amount of detail covered and I found the pace to be excellent and the exercises a huge plus. Peter was a fantastic teacher, extremely knowledgeable but more importantly he presented the course in a manner that encouraged questions and allowed for a relaxed and entertaining atmosphere. I wish that the colleges had teachers with his level of knowledge and ability to teach.

The project really helped to cement Spring as we had a lot of issues during the day but got there in the end eventually.

What did I like best? The team project at the end, the time flew and I learned to tie everything I learned together.

I liked learning about the new functionality of Java 8, including the lambda expressions you can have. It makes your code look more condensed and generally nicer.

Streams and Lambdas were extremely enjoyable to learn. I had tried in the past to get into them but failed. The instructions and tests for these were very clear and made a difficult topic easy to learn.

Peter is really good at explaining things and can read the audience and react if they are starting to wain. I also liked his low-level explanations of stuff, not having come from a background in tech I found it beneficial to see the nuts and bolts of the system that is usually just assumed that you understand.
